Since 2018, thanks to a generous donation from the Cantor Family, Talking Gourds will also award a $500 Cantor Award for the winning poem in the Fischer Prize contest from a Colorado poet. Well Writing Workshop: Nature Writing

SW Colorado Canyons Alliance, Dolores, CO

Leisurely and mindful morning hike starting at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center to the lookout point where you will be guided in journal writing inspired by the landscape and archeological treasures. The natural world offers us amazing images and metaphors with which to express ourselves. Using Earth imagery in your writing is a way to tell your story in a manner that connects you to a larger, living intelligence. Nature writing supports us in finding meaning and importance in our personal stories, and how our stories connect to the larger systems of life. Bring your journal, pen, hiking gear and a sense of adventure and fun. All levels of writers welcome!

Dance with Awareness to Music that Moves You in a Safe & Accepting Space

Upcoming Events:

  • Free Dance is currently on extended summer/fall break.

I hope to start up again in January 2020.

Stay tuned or sign up below to be notified of future events.

Join our growing dance tribe in SW Colorado. Conscious dance is good for the mind, body and spirit. It offers a way to increase self-acceptance, find joy in movement, express emotions, move energy, reduce stress, discover freedom and ease in the body and expand our movement vocabulary - all in an environment that is a safe container for you to move big or small, or any way at all.

I taught NIA and fell in love with the FreeDance component. I have spent the last 6 years exploring 5Rhythms, Ecstatic Dance, Authentic Movement and other conscious movement forms. I combine elements of these different traditions into a comfortable, fun, safe and easy atmosphere with great music that will move your mind, body and soul.
